Just got mine installed. As soon as they pulled it out it looked like the topper was too far back from the cab. They said they had to pull it back a little to get the rear glass door to close and seal. I'm leaving on a 2 week trip tomorrow so had to take it as is but it's already bugging me.

Any suggestions? Any way also to tighten up the fit of my tailgate? I can see a lot of daylight around it now that the bed is dark.

Topper quality seems to be going way down. The Leer I put on my '87 was a great, well-made, topper with an interior finish almost as good as its exterior. However, yours doesn't look to bad for fit -- I have a Snugtop that has a bigger gap than you show there and the color doesn't match as well as yours does either.

Not only that, but it took four months to get the Snugtop to a local dealer, though it had been promised in two weeks, and when I put it on and then drove back a couple of hundred miles in the rain I found that everything in the bed of the truck was wet and covered with hundreds of those fiberglass "needles." It took me a couple of hours with a sander before the needles stopped falling and when I took a hose to the topper to find the leaks I found that every window leaked. I took out the windows and noticed that the cutouts were almost as large as the windows themselves and there was no sealer of any kind. A few tubes of silicone and the topper didn't leak anymore but I'll not buy another Snugtop.

To add crap-flavored icing to the cake the idiot who "installed" the topper wired the interior light to the brake light and the brake light to the left blinker and used stab connectors that cut the wires in two.

LOL OK I'm feeling better now! The dealer said "about 2 weeks" when I put the money down on the 6th so about right. I had to call this morning to stress that if I didn't get it on today it'd be 2 weeks and they got me right in and had it installed in 40 mins. Looks like a good install otherwise. Now to see what it does to my gas mileage on the plains of Kansas tomorrow.
