Were you able to apply a text name that shows up above the number on the display when dialing a number?

I suspect every phone will be a little different, but I was able to get the names to display. I have an enterprise Blackbery, and I had a problem getting it to transfer more than one name, it would fail after the first transfer. So I had to trick it and set up a "transfer" category for the name and number I wanted to transfer. I would put one contact at a time into this category and make the transfer. It was a pain, and I only transferred my most frequent contacts, but the names do display when a call comes in. I suspect the enterprise version is the problem. I had a similar problem with my Bluetooth phone system in the house, but my daughter's non-enterprise Blackberry transferred contacts with no problem.

Sounds like a lot of work. Unfortunately, the iPhone 4s won't transfer anything via bluetooth unless it's jailbroken. So much for that. Thanks for the info though.

Hey, sorry this is a little off topic, but does anyone know if all the 2012s come with synthetic oil? I asked the dealer but they had no idea....

Lol..well....talking bout that. The salesman mentioned it had conventional oil...but the financial manager looked at his cute chart and said it does have synthetic..he wouldn't budge with what the salesman said..so really..i have no idea what's in it..I rather trust the salesman than someone who just reads a chart.

Toyota hires some of the least trained, least knowledgeable salesmen a I've ever come across.

I had one guy arguing with me that he could in FACT find me my TRD off Road 4x4 with a hood scoop ( he was very intent on getting me a hood scoop for some reason) and a long bed...and i was the one that didn't know what i was talking about.

So i let him try.....he was on that computer of his for 30 mins trying to find that unicorn. When he finally gave up, i just said thank you and walked out of there.

by contrast, go ahead and walk into a VW dealer. Those salemen are trained to know every little detail and inch of those cars and individual models.

The 2012 uses standard oil, I made that argument sales pitch when I went in for the first oil change. I had the service manager look into the records and he showed me that the 2010's used synthetic but the 2012's don't. So in the end I had him put synthetic in and I paid the difference which was only like $20 bucks or so.

When I got mine I wondered the same thing. When I looked it up, the Taco is about the only Toyota vehicle that doesn't the new 0W-20 full synthetic. I always ran the full synthetic in my old '06. I'm not sure what they want to use when I go for the first of my two years of free oil changes.

I finally had the time to take my 2012 out on some trails today. I have the TRD OR and wanted see at which point I would need to use any of the whiz bang traction devices on the OR. I did the Rule Ridge loop in the Pike National Forest outside of Woodland Park. I love this truck! I did most of it in 2H-2L without any issues. I did drop it into 4L w/A-TRAC for one stream crossing as it was kinda deep and I was by myself. Not much mud out there so the pics are kinda lame, I know.

whatever oil they use, the engineers hopefully spec'd what they thought best to break in the engine properly, but you can bet I'll be putting in synth at 3000 miles, and about every 5k after that.

WTF. They told me when I got it the 11's and 12's use 0w20 synthetic. So does this thing take synthetic or not? Do any of you KNOW?
