dude i love that bed rack you fabd up! i've been on a search for a Yakima basket for a couple weeks now and just found one for $125. hoping it's condition is still good after some years the guy had it.

if you don't mind me asking, what are the dimensions on that rack you built?

    Look at build!
3" lift, no spacers or blocks, 33's depending on motor regear to pull the 33's and lock the rear axle an that should get you around to a good many places... and if not then get a front bumper and slap a winch in it then you should be good to go

well if you are just looking to find some trails for camping, i would say that 3" lift is not a nessisity. I would only invest in a good set of tires. Maybe for BFG all-terrains or even BFG Mud-terrain.

but take it from the majority of members on this forum that once you start you cant really stop. the Modifications just keep going.

I hit the trails for the first time in my truck and then the next thing i knew i was getting a 3" suspension lift, tires, recovery gear, new bumper, and so on.

you got it right. thats the best route to go. better coilovers up front. AAL or a shackle with longer shocks.

i like the steel rims. i personally like the alloy 8 hole style.

    i wish i had a set.

haha it's all good bro! i've been searching for a place that can fab one similar but different than yours at a good price.

and yea, it'd still be cool to see what your dimensions are and how high just the rack is sitting on your bed rails :) take your time :p

Coilover replace the whole shock and spring assembly for a new one, if you want to do a somewhat cheap but good route go with the adjustable billies up front and use your stock coils set at 2.5" then an aal in the rear...new rear shocks will be needed at some point cause your factory ones will be too short and have no uptravel left to them due the the new rear lift

i plan on getting a whole new suspension lift all the way around but at this time is a little exspensive. so getting the billies 1500 adjustables in front will lift my truck just a little?

2.5" yes and down the road you can get eibach springs and put hte billies on the 0" mark for 3" of lift..thats what im currently running and love it! going to be converting them to coilovers soon
