Haha I feel you bro. the stock battery is pretty heavy. If I can find an Odyssey to fit in that rear storage compartment, it's on. Was looking at composite leaf options as well.....It would be uncharted territory though. I replaced the composite leafs on my Z06 with LG coil-overs all around, but I remember thinking that leaf was pretty light, all things considered. Doubt this option will play out as the curvature required and task of a truck (rather than sports car) leaf would make this item likely impossible to attain and it probably wouldn't work very well if I got my hands on one.

Agreed. My concern is when I'm going up the trail to our launch spot. That's usually pretty slow going.

Sittin Sic/XII performance does make a composite leaf kit for the XRunners.

Yes, with very slight modification (flipping a pin upside down), it should fit.

Whether or not it'll be any good is a different story. They are composite mono leafs, and are designed with an XRunner in mind. They're load carrying abilities are pretty much none.

Whether or not they'll lift or drop your truck is anyone's guess.

They do yield a drop on the XR's. but, it's only marginally more than a drop that the stock 6 lug leaf pack would give.

However, there have been problems with axle wrap, and with a SOA setup like yours, it may get much, much worse. XII performance now offers steel drop leafs because of all these drawbacks lol.

LOL I know I drive fast too. Imma try removing it and do the Mililani to Kaneohe drive home. If it's too much of an impact on handling, I'll go and toss it back on when I get home.

Wolfpack! You're the man. I was just googling a CF driveshaft. I'd definitely do that. Unsprung weight and probably a bit stronger too. Perfect!

While not weight reducing....I was looking at my Tacoma tonight, parked next to my Viper GTS and was thinking it'd be pretty cool to have some SRT type extractor louvers in the hood. I don't care about the scoop, but since it's there I wish I could find a way to make it functional for something....maybe more heat extraction? Meh.....This road I wanna head down is gonna be expensive with little yield. At least it'll be different though.

:D Pass on any flames coming outta my work truck. LOL

Not much in the way of OR trails here. Got a few real easy trails on the way to our hunting spots. Also cross through some easy sand on the way to some fishing spots....other than that. Mall crawler status. Auriiite!

Bro. It is no where near 70 lbs. I don't know what sway bar you pulled off but it is around 35lbs around half of what you said.

-Either way take it off the truck runs great without it. Then again it is Hawaii, not very many places to wheel here. Peacock and Kaena and that is about it on Oahu. Oh and the Sandbox now. I'm not putting my truck through that abuse though. G/L
