I took my hub assembly and the bearing to the dealer and they pressed it in and out for me. If you didnt need them pressed you could do this job in you driveway.

Thanks to everyone who is signing this petition. The more Maryland people we can get the better. DOnt get me wrong I do like eveyone else signing it. but it looks better the more local people sign it.

    MD folks,
Does anyone have a dealership connection I can utilize to get the best price for a pair of 2012 headlight assemblies? I called my dealer in VA and was told that prices will vary based on the dealer. Knowing that, I figured I'd reach out to the MD crowd for the best price close to home. Any help is appreciated!

Then screw him. I also checked some on line parts and it seems the 2012 parts are really not out there yet. Hate to see anyone pay a dealer price for the headlights.

Also removing the headlights is a PITA for the first time. I needed to remove 3 screws and one fastener on the wheel well liner to remove the lower screw inside the fender on the headlight housing.

I found a couple websites that seem to have them but they're not any cheaper than my dealer. Since I was told that the prices vary, I figured someone here might have a dealer connection.

Good to know that removing them is tough. Maybe I need to reconsider my retrofit plan for now since it seems like it's nearly impossible to get a set of assemblies for the truck.

It is just the first time you encounter the screw is tough. Once I figured it out it just took and extra 15 min.

I spent a month on the retrofit but I had another home project that took a week and I colormatched the trim ring blackout which took extra time as well.

Overall the HID retrofit was a nice project and a great addition to the lighting.

Sounds like you are doing it the right way in that you are looking for a donor set of headlamps. I bought a set myself off of another member for this project and I did the TRS 25% off group buy.

That looks sharp. I already have a retrofitter lined up as it's something I'm too impatient to do myself. :D It's friggin' expensive but I know if I can ever get it done that I'll love it. I've been wanting these lights for 5 years now so I'm ready to git r done.

Most of the retrofitters charge $250+. After doing this retrofit I can see why the cost is that high. Lots of things that can go wrong very quickly.

I want OEM quality and reliability and I know that's not cheap. These guys made me a set for my F-150 back in 2007 and the truck was stolen before I had a chance to put them on. I was so excited to use them and then didn't get to. I'm ready to get it done to my Taco because I do a lot of driving to Baltimore at night now.

While we're talking mods, does anyone have a good window tint place around Baltimore / D.C. they'd like to recommend? I'd like to get my fronts tinted to match the back.

I liked D&L. They are pricey but they do a great job and stand by their work (and are around long enough to correct it if something goes wrong)...

For the retro's, look into Custom Lightz. They did the retro on my Civic and it looked like a factory headlight...

I've been to Performance Window Tinting in Columbia for a few different vehicles. They do good work at a decent price, and usually have a coupon on their website for discounts.

I did have a good-sized bubble that lasted for a few days after getting my Tacoma done, but they said bring it by whenever and were able to reapply the tint in like 10 minutes to fix it, free of charge. All in all, I'm pleased with using them, I would go back.

I saw a truck like yours on my home from work going through Maple Lawn... The guy was honking the horn and tossing beer cans out the window... I said to myself "No it couldnt be" hahaha

Shame you didn't take that thing out and get it a little dirty on Sunday.
