Hello guys, I recently installed a magnaflow exhaust on my 2008 toyota tacoma and don't really like the sound of the new exhaust, it's really not close to a v8 engine...
So I checked if i didn't have any leaks, and this morning when I started a found a leak on where you bolt. Water condensation I think.

I tried to screw it again but it was the maximum already...
What do you think is it normal?

I has my TRD installed by Toyota and mine has black exhaust soot in the same area. Toyota tech said its due to that area being a "flex" joint.

Go get a replacement gasket from Toyota. They're not that expensive (generally under $20). Unbolt it, scrape off both sides, put new gasket, and bolt up both sides evenly (slowly turn in both sides bit by bit) to get the best seal.

There is no gasket in that area if I remember correctly. You could loosen up the bolts and reposition it a bit as it is not reall center (up-down) wise. I usually coat seals like that with anti-sieze to lubricate and then torquge accordingly. This will allow the joint to slide as you torque it and provide a seal between the metal surfaces.

Yes there is a gasket there. A donut gasket. I'd take a picture of one, but I am currently off work due to a work injury.

13th picture down. Flange still on the truck. That's a gasket. If I had a picture it would make more sense. Chances are they reused the gasket. Usually holds up fairly well. Take it from someone who has replaced this exhaust MANY times as a PROFESSION. There is a gasket there.
