Might be interested in that 55-200 lens though in the near future though! If you think about parting out.

Should I go pro? Worth a watch if you're asking that question.

Are there any big differences in Memory Cards? And what size would you guys suggest for a d3000? I had a 16GB SanDisk SDHC card in my point and shoot, but I sold it with the camera.

Also have a 16 GB card in my gopro, but I feel like both of those are overkill...

    Should I get an 8GB?

    And is SanDisk reliable enough?

It depends I use the San Disk Pros. I use 2 16GB at the same time, one CF slot and 1 SD slot! Nikon FTW!

shooting RAW I can get about 700 on 1 disk.

I don't know if I'm gonna be shooting in RAW yet...Just getting started. What about just JPEG for now? I'm only using iPhoto for editing...

Super basic I know, but ya gotta start somewhere.

Shooting JPEG is fine for beginning, thats what I did. Smallest image size, can view directly after inserting SD or CF card into computer, without using photoshop or special software to view it.

With JPEG though you are very limited editing wise. All you can really do is add watermark, adjust the contast and or the saturation a bit, and crop slightly.

I do recommend starting with JPEG so you can get used to your camera first. And learn to take great photos without much editing.

Or go back to film for that:rolleyes: Film is amazing

So got the new iPad (on It now)

Instant thoughts. (this is all vs iPad 2)

    Cons:

    Heavier
    Thicker
Shorter battery life (slightly, only if youre on full brightness)
    Takes longer to charge
And there is a VERY SLIGHT warm tint to the display. But its not bad with mine you really can only see it at certain angles. Some says this goes away after a few weeks.

    Pros:

THE DISPLAY IS GORGEOUS. The color saturation is WAY better than the iPad 2. Like unbelievably better.
My wifi seems faster than my previous iPad.

For me the pros outweigh the cons. The cons are ver minor and almost un-noticeable to the average user. I'm just a tech geek so I notice these things!

iPad 3 "yellow screen tint"vs iPhone 4 both on full brightness

Ew and in real life it doesn't look nearly as dramatic as it shows in the photo.

I started shooting RAW when I traded up from my Pentax to Nikon.
and you can use the ViewNX software with that comes with the cam. to crop and do minor editing.
