In seeing how well the bed lights came out for other people, I decided to do it myself. After buying some fog lights from walmart that came with a wiring harness, I tried to figure how to mount the lights and switch. The wire that attaches the switch the the power source is only 3 feet long. I want to mount the switch near the others above the coin compartment but I'm having some problems.

Is there some other point other than the fuse box in the engine compartment and the battery that I could tap into for power?

For those who have done this, where exactly do you run the wiring from the bed to the battery? Is there an easy way to run it through the cab or underneath the carriage?

I think I may just buy some more wiring and put the switch in the back with the lights.

There is a constant hot that runs to the trailer wiring, if you have the towing option. You can run it though the left rear storage compartment down to the trailer wire harness. It will be the #4 Position, Double check with a test light first!
