    As it should be........ I hated my father for it then, but thank him now. The rule was; "You will be ALLOWED to buy your own car and pay for your own insurance AFTER you have successfuly completed your first year of college."
    Too many adults being supported by their parents.

    i paid for mine in a round about way (which i highly recomend if you have the means). after going through all of the dealer negotiations, my parents did in fact pay for the truck. paid cash to avoid a loan, and then i repayed them as i would if it were a loan through a bank. only difference was I didn't have to pay any intrest. i have at this point fully repaid them the entire cost of the truck. I was very fortunate that my family had the ability to pay cash up front, allowing me to pay for the truck that way.

    I could've done this option aswell. However, I wanted to have a solid credit score, so I chose to do it through financing.

    bought it out right in 08 when i was 19 or 20(cant do math this early) with cash. Not a bad deal for a taco which had 22K on the OD. :cool:
