tried a custom x today, great board just wasnt that fun in crud, so I tried the burton nug. I am 6'2' 240 lbs and the had me on a 150. I was very skeptical, but it was so much fun to ride! I would love to have one as a second board. had great flex very stable, and great pop. Very fun board indeed. Btw its made to ride 8-10cm shorter.

Yip. This is my 7th winter in Jackson, averaging 130 day seasons with lots of resort/sidecountry riding and after that closes GTNP and Teton pass splitboarding....Needless to say, the terrain FUCKIN ROCKS, and is endless...especially if your down to hike for it.

BTW, sleeper blower powder day here. 15+inches by the end of the day, cold smoke, 9 degrees at the summit and hardly anyone here, walk on Trams and every other lift. Did 3 Corbets Coulior to Expertchutes to Paintbrush runs that were top 5 of the year, and tomorrow is just looking better as its dumping right now:D Fuck I don't want to go back to work in May!

hahaha, the sun valley season pass is 1200...at 80 a lift ticket you have to go 15 times to break even. now THAT is not worth it, even if you go 15 times, sun valley itself isnt worth it.
the problem isnt the actual cost...its having enough time during the winter to exploit the epic pass for what it is. i would love to buy it (if i lived there), and just not work or go to school all winter and be a ski bum...but thats not realistic. lol.

boarding season is over...it was the absolute worst year i have had boarding since i started 6 years. i got in a total of 9 days this year, compared to my usual 25. For boarding this year i bought a whole new set up; dedicated powder/freeride board with new bindings, boots, and jacket. I also bought a new (to me) freakin truck to go boarding ...and only actually needed it about the same number of times i used my new pow board, about 3 times. the snow pack was about 100 inches under average and the season didnt even start till after christmas...god this winter was just a disgusting, depressing disaster. It started out bad and i expected it to get better but it never did. so good bye boarding, ill see you next winter:(

are passes go on sell in september maybe? not sure. and are $250 till november 15th i think than go up the $300. since i got mine last year and we had a shity year. i get half off. so i pay less than i did last year.. lift tickets for time 3:00pm to 10pm(they close at 10) is like $45. they have a time from like 9am to 2:00pm and it’s like $30 you only have to go i think 6 times or something to pay for it.

i’m thinking about going to NY to see family and going to holiday valley. or getting some guys and go get a hotel up by snowshoe for a weekend.

For those that dont already have careers.. just work at a resort part time in the winter break. The place I instructed at this season was so chill. Got an employee pass for working there and only scheduled myself for a couple days a week. I lived in the town, so the days I didnt work I was able to just shred all day. All it cost me was a month's rent and gas/food/beer money.
