I have not been here much in the last few months. Too busy I guess. Well, my job is in the shitter and no looking good. With that in mind I am looking forward to driving alot to be able to work and cutting expenses as much as possible around the house. Certain things like the mortgage, electricity and heat cannot be touched. But this 350/month i pay on the Tacoma is easily removed.

I have traded in the Tacoma for an 09 Corolla S. My car payment is going from 350/month to 175/month + gas savings. The Taco has been by far the best vehicle I have owned and it is my hope that I can get another one in the future. Luckily dealers are hurting and I got a great return on the Taco. I tell you, this things hold their value like gold.

I will be taking some things off, that I will sale in a variety of places. Those things are:

    Extang Trifold Tounneau
    Weathertech Liners
    USA SPec Ipod adapter
    Bestop Cargo Catcher
Shortbed Cargo Mat (OEM from Toyota)

Anyway, Thank you all. I hope that she finds an owner that treats her as nice as I have.

Sorry to hear all of this. That was a great looking Tacoma you had and it must be like losing a member of your family. But, in these times, you do what you have to. At least you stayed with a Toyota. Good luck in the job search and let us know how things are going. You'll always be a part of the TacomaWorld family.

Sorry to hear this, but you have to take care of business first. I'm sure you won't be the last on this forum to sell. Hope all goes well for you and keep in touch.

Sorry to hear that man. I know the feeling, I had to sell my last truck that I loved to save on expenses. I hope everything works out for you and hopefully we'll see you back here soon.

Will you be posting this stuff for sale, here on the forum?
I'm interested in the bed mat and weathertech liners (at least the rear if you're willing to seperate)

Yeah I will in a little while. The floor liners though I prefer to sell as ONE, sorry.

Also, thankfully I have not lost my job just yet. But I doubt if I make the summer, better yet if the company makes the summer.

Yeah I took a 10% as well. But the next step is the door. My business depends too much on tourism and people spending money. Unfortunately, its just not happening.

So you did the right thing. Good for you. You can always get another truck later on.

Living in the Myrtle Beach area, I hear you on that one. I have plenty of friends out of work in the tourism industry and many of them have no idea when they'll get back to work. Spring will tell the tale.

^How old are you? If you're under say 50, you're fine. You have plenty of time to make it up, assuming Obama doesn't drive us into a depression.

My advice, in regard to 401k: IGNORE IT. Pretend like it isn't there because all you'll do is get pissed off every time you look at it. Hang in there.

Yup, hindsight is 20/20. There have been so many times over the years I had a "premonition" about the stock market and I didn't act and lost out. That's just how it goes sometimes.

Hell, I work for a govt. contractor (TRICARE) and I'm worried. Contract up for renewal shortly + new administration = ME WORRIED. Even worse, both the wife and I work there.

Sorry to heat this! I know most of us are worried about our jobs. But i keep spending, trying to do my part. I figure with my house and car loans, I will lose it all anyway! they will take my retirement, and savings. so why not get some enjoyment!
I am also a single guy, so there is no family to worry about.
    My condolences to you sir.
