    Just ordered a magnetic drain plug.... now I have to wait for it to arrive so I can change my oil.... tried to buy it locally, but no one had one :(

    Gonna switch to synthetic oil....

    Bout time for an oil change for me, around 10k on the amsoil. Changed the filter three times now

    I know. I have a fumoto on now, but it needs to come off anyway since I"m changing to synthetic (so I can get all the regular oil out). After talking to my son, decided to switch back.

    Thought you were supposed to be working :p

    synthetic is a good choice. I've been using Mobil 1 in the wife's Acura and in my My Tacoma since i got it. Walmart has a good price on 5 qt jugs and when costco has it on sale it's even cheaper than walmart.

    Used to Mobil 1, which if you can get it on sale at an autoparts store itll be cheaper than walmart. Now i use Amsoil and feel comfortable leaving it in twice as long and only cost 15% more. Change the filters every 3000 miles or so, cheap ins i think

    Going with the Castrol. Been using the regular Castrol for years, so just gonna use that. I'll be checking sales for sure. and no more 1 qt bottles. I'll buy two big ones and just use part of the second one. $7.50 a qt and $24.99 for 5 qts.

    no, just makes it easier to drain. push a lever and the oil comes out. push the lever closed. No need to find a wrench when changing the oil

    What ever you switch to stick with it. I buy the 5 qt jugs for $26 if i can't get it from costco on sale. 6 qt case from costco on sale is ususally $26.

    The wife's MDX is pretty easy too. They put filter right next to the oil pan so you go down to pull the plug and then the oil filter too.
