Yup. Picked them up on Ebay a few years ago for @ $120 I think it was. Had my dealer install them. Check with Toyota Of Dallas if you can't find them. Jacque is great to deal with.

Didn't you get a cap for the bed? Just drill holes and mount the bar to that.

I am debating on getting a commecial-style metal cap with the shelves and drawers on the sides. I can mount my RTT on the top of it too. Future plans would be to finish the inside off with a sleep platform, fridge/freezer space and more gear.

They aren't cheap but I think it may be a good investment as opposed to building another vehicle (more than likely a 4Runner if I did).

    Thanks,

to tell you the truth the black one is a 2wd, i bought it when i lived in MS and didnt need a 4WD at the time, the trails i went on a 2WD was suffecient, since i moved up here about three years ago i decided i needed a 4WD, since the tacoma is paid for i ended up getting the 87 4runner..i have a ton of parts waiting to be installed on it, front single axle w/airlocker, rear discs, new engine, etc..

I like all kinds of wheeling, mudding is not to high on the list, use to do it in texas and got tired of the cleaning....

if you guys see the 4runner around that would be my stepson driving it until he can get his own car (he wants a jeep, poor kid)

Your tacoma can handle most of the trips we do with 2wd. You will probably have more fun in the 4runner though. What are you doing for a motor in it?

This year I hope to get some of the guys from here to hit some offroad parks with some of my buddies, you will definetly want the 4runner for that.

I figured since he is my stepson his mother can worry about it.....the funny thing is i have a sticker that says "Jeeps are cute, Barbie drives one" that i might put on the 4runner to put a little fire into him to get his own car..

Sounds like a plan to me especially if I get my goodies ordered. I can't wait to hit an orv park. I'd really like to see rocks and valleys. Saw a video of an fj going through and it looks sweet.

I know I have mentioned going there. It is worth it. Ron is a great host too. I believe you can camp there overnight pretty cheap (was free but the county made them charge). You need a flag like SLSD but no ORV sticker. There is something for everyone there. I like to play in the Gravel Pit.

Eh. At least you can cross up to Canada and do some BC Toyota wheeling with that bunch up there. Htey are supposed to be a great group.

Then go checkout the palces this guy has gone (nice site too):

Im always up for a wrenching party. I have most of the mechanic/ fab stuff needed and everyone would be welcome at my house, but I'm the farthest away. My tools travel also.

lets make a list of who needs what done? Then we can work on a date.
