The wiring and switches that come with these, are they good enough to wire the truck? I figure they are but I am not sure so I am turning to you guys.

The wires are very capable of making these lights function well, the switch its preference if you want oem or something different but the kit is fine.

I went to the dealer and they said I cant get any OEM switches. I can get the fog switch but it would work just like the fogs. I want them to be able to come on whether the lights are on or not.

So there saying you cant buy it or use it, i got my switches from toyota dealership as long as you have a part#, and your saying you want the lights to come on whenever correct that is possible.

A buddy of mine used factory switches like the ones in the newer generation tacos. After about an hour the one night he smelled burning plastic. Turned out the switch started to melt behind the dash. I don't know if this was a dealer install screw up or what, but when I just had mine rigged up I just used the switches that came with the KC slim lights. Looks a little different, but I think it looks fine.

Ya, they told me that they don't have any switches that can make them come on whenever. The only thing they had was the fog light switch which would only let them come on with the low beams. I figure i'll just do the switch that comes with it, even if it is a little different.

It all depends on how you wire the switch. The wire diagrams always have you tap into the high beam wire but you can tap from the fuse panel using a "add a circuit" fuse from you local auyo parts store. A OEM switch you can order is pn# 00550-35976.

I wish I could tell you.... I'm waiting on the light bar to show up. The lights came in like 2 weeks ago and are just sitting in my room. I'll let you know when I get them on.

Light bar was $160 from stillen.com and lights were $358 from ebay, so $518 altogether.

The thread link below should help you with the wiring. The stock switches from the dealer are very small. They are not designed to carry the full electrical load of the lights. That is why you should use a relay when wiring up lights and using a small switch. Some light kits come with a big bulky ugly switch and no relay. That is why the switch is so big because it has to withstand the full electrical load. Using a switch from the dealer has nothing to do with whether your lights come on with the fogs etc. It all depends on how you wire them up. You can make them work however you want. It is just a switch like any other switch.
