I have a 2012 with a standard radio, not enTune or JBL. I paired my iPhone and the "Internal Audio" also. I was trying to play Pandora through the radio via BT but it didn't work. What am i doing wrong?

    Thanks

are you selecting your truck as the audio output on your iPhone? its the little square with the arrow inside it pointing up, its usually on the right of the volume line on the phone when palying iPod/pandora etc

once paired the phone should automatically select your truck for it but maybe with audio from pandora and such it might want you to select it..just a guess, mine does it auto but mine is JBL/entune

May not work with an app. Usually requires the use of the "iPod" on your iPhone to use the Bluetooth audio.

You have to pair it as an audio player as well. The phone and audio player are two separate set ups.

This. Once paired, the truck speakers will play ANY sound from your iphone, including games, movies, even the slide sound effect.

Mine is the plain system, no entune or jbl either.

If you are trying to link your phone for Internet use on your stereo it won't work unless you are jail broken.

I tried this but couldn't get it to pair for some reason. Does it matter what one I pair first, phone or phone as audio player? Guess I will just keep playing with it

If you pair phone first, it should ask you if you want to pair the audio player as well.

No it shouldn't matter. It took me a while to get my iPhone paired as a audio player. It kept saying to make sure the Bluetooth device is close to the truck (or something like that). From what I remember when it kept saying that I turned off my Bluetooth on my iPhone and turned it back on right when the truck's Bluetooth was searching for my iPhone. After that it worked right away.

    Hope that helps.

bluetooth will ( and does on my tacoma) play any audio source from your phone. in fact, my entune display even shows the album artwork from my pandora or spottily while using bluetooth.

if his pandora is not platting my bet is on selecting the truck as the output choice of speaker form his airplay button on pandora volume area. it should select truck automatically but if its not then that might be the case

It got it working with Pandora. My one sports app won't work though, I don't think it supports airplay. The app is for the Pittsburgh Penguins, I wanted to be able to listen to the games while I was driving but can't get this one to work.

I have this same setup, mine works great, plays all sounds, radio apps, etc...but I have not been able to get my address book to sync up. I've read somewhere that the iphone address book will not sync with the standard system through bluetooth.

Does anyone know if there are any updates to this problem, or a workaround?

address book? as in your phone contacts? mine syncs no problem. You might need to go into your "settings" => "general" => "bluetooth" => select your truck, usually "car multimedia" and make sure all your stuff is selected to sync...in this case "sync contacts" tuned on and if you have groups in your phone book, make sure you check which you want synced or all.

as far as your sport app, if it has a volume that the iPhone dictates, it should allow you to select bluetooth as your audio output from it....from that same airplay thingy next to volume bar.

odd thing is that all these are usually default settings on the phone so that they just work automatically.

Are you basing it on an iPhone or a different cell phone?

but most phones do have a bluetooth preferences as to what you want synced over bluetooth anyway. if not an iPhone, which ever phone you have will have a set of rules for what you want synced. most default to everything but you never know why it might've been chaged at some point if its not working

Did all that and there is no option to sync my contacts with the regular non-entune system. Oh well...
