I want to keep it down around $200 or $250. IM not worried about trying to get them to blow the windows out or anything. But i do want as close to that as i can get to that but with a low price. I also think i want to stay with kicker amps. Thanks guys for your help.

The DX500.1 will probably be your best choice it will bump the subs happily just make sure that you get it tuned by someone with an oscilloscope so that it will push the most power without clipping.

I don't know anybody in my area that has one. Is this for the 2 ohm or 4ohm subs?

What's the difference between kicker zx500.1 and dx500.1?

I'm making suggestions based off of the 4ohm subs you linked.
I can't see much other than size and cross over octave points.

Would they hit harder if i go with 2 ohm instead of the 4ohm. What are octave points? So you think dx is better than zx?

There is no way of wiring 2 4 ohm subs for a 4 ohm final load the amp will either "see" a 2 ohm load, parallel wiring, or an 8 ohm load, series wiring, if you went with a set of 2 ohm subs you would need an amp that can push the power either at a 1ohm load or a 4 ohm load.

Octave points is really hard to explain but when doing something like an active system and you have a tuning program it will show what speaker is playing what frequencies and they have a chart that has a line and then at a certain point they drop off and that is where you set the crossover for the next higher up or lower down speaker depending on where you start and is expressed as DB/Octave which is decibels per octave and is where the crossover starts to fade out the sounds you don't want played are being cut off.

So you suggest the 4 ohm cvrs with a dx500.1 amp? Can you give me a link to a good cheap amp wire kit? Idk what i need. Idk about what gauge i need and the brands. If you could give me that link i would appreciate it. Thanks for all of your help

Yea man I'm trying mid-terms got me moving a little slow though. Do you have a Radio Shack or somewhere near by, because you could have a little money putting everything together yourself. You will want however many feet of wire you need of 4 gauge power wire with a 50 amp fuse no more than a foot away from the battery and then no more than around a foot of 4g for a ground, when doing a ground wire make sure to sand away any paint/primer etc to make a metal to metal contact and use a nut and bolt not a self tapping screw or anything like that. 16 gauge wire will be fine to run to the speakers. Wires unlike most everything else in car audio is something you can cheap out on there are tests that show self proclaimed audiophiles listening to "top of the line" wires and coat hangers and couldn't tell the difference. If you don't want to do all of this just a cheap wiring kit for a 500w amp from the local walmart will be fine just check wiring sizes to make sure they are up to par, remember no less that 4 gauge wire for power sources.

OK. Ill check Walmart. Also ill look on sonic electronicx because that's where IM ordering subs and amp. I think I'm going to buy the box from Amazon and the pioneer deh-8400bt head head unit from Crutchfield. How can i tune the amp without having any tuning tools? Thanks for your help

You really can't truly tune the amp without an oscilloscope it's best to pay a shop the $20 to do it so that you have longevity out of your equipment but if you don't want to do that as long as it isn't all the way up you may be alright but I can't guarantee this.

Ok well you could download a hertz generator or a test tone cd, see the test tone sticky in this subforum, on your phone or computer and plug it into your hu and turn the gains back until everything sounds right you'll want to compare the sound from the speakers to the sound out of the best pair of headphone you have.

Yes, he will need around 1,500 to fully push Tue subs but I can just about promise that it doesn't push the power it claims it does and he wants to stick with kicker gear so right now the dx500.1 is his best choice.

I've got a friend that has an American pro 800w and an Alpine 350w he wants 60 for them each. IM thinking about getting one of these for now because i don't want to spend so much money at one time. I've been thinking about the hifonics 1200 too. But which one of the amps that my buddy has would y'all recommend

A dx500 won't push the cvrs not two of them and they won't push the dual 4
