Hey everyone big question to ask. is the back suspension on a 2001 tacoma 2wd prerunner higher than the front because of the payload you put in the back? And if so by how much is there a difference?

yea it is higher in the rear. i wrote down my original height measurements when i did my lift 2 or so years ago but lost them.

grab a tape measure and measure from the fender flares to the ground. not too hard

i might make the dimensions bigger because you have a double cab and i have a extended cab so the bed is longer but its a starting point and one less thing i have to do haha

whoa man you went above and beyond :D and i appreciate it! looks good man. i'm getting one fabbed up right now for about $90-100. it will look a little different than yours but i'm excited. hopefully will be done by the end of the week.

quick question, do you have any security tips on anything you mount on the rack/basket? hi-lift, spare tire, etc. do you lock em down in anyway?

EDIT: sorry, i just saw that you got that lock cable running through the rack and basket? do you also run thru the spare when you have it up there? and do you lock em down to the rings on the bed?

i use a brinks cable. I threaded it through a tie down point in the truck bed. then I wrapped it through the rack and basket and then through the lower part of the handle on the hi-lift then back to meet with the other end of the cable. I used a Brinks Lock.

its not state of the art security by any means...but you cant run off with any of the stuff without any tools.

this picture shows it for the most part.

and when i have my tire mounted on the basket i run the cable through the wheel as well...
