I wonder about putting Rain-X on, but for a different reason. When I'm driving in the rain, the camera display gets distorted by rain on the camera, and it's not always easy to get a true view from it. I'm wondering if Rain-X would keep the water from accumulating on the camera so I can get a clear view.

And if you read the back it does not say anything that you talk about.

The additive is different from the direct application spray. I will get a pic when i go home since you refuse to believe it.

Alright I will make this really easy for you...

    1. Slow down.
    2. Reread.
    3. Begin responding.
    4. Delete whatever illogical statement you just wrote.
    5. Write something productive and thoughtful.
    6. Giggle at the unintelligent things you said before you learned to think.
    7. Be a more productive member of society.

Follow those steps and people will think you are intelligent and useful.

    You're welcome.

Um......Did you read the label dumbass? Its a new bottle of Rain-X and it does NOT say "do not apply to plastic".

You should live by your rules.

The OP specifically asked if he could use Rain-X. By this labels I would say YES.

Me personally I would just spit on my finger and wipe the lens.

Now you resort to name calling? That's low man, I thought we were friends...

    1. You are wrong.
    2. Think before you speak.
    3. You're still wrong, it doesn't matter how much you tell yourself you are right.

When you read the labels on the correct product, not an additive, then you are adding to the OP's discussion topic. Otherwise you are wasting time and valuable resources for useful people.

yeah, be very careful with rain x on anything like acrylics, plastics etc...it will destroy it pretty quick. if the camera outer element is acrylic or plastic it will turn it to a hazy white layer that you can see through , for good.

Don't tell Utard that, he swears it will work with no issues and wants the OP to ruin his outer lens...He used fancy shmancy words like hydrophobic to give himself credibility...I will do anything he tells me...

This is true but the OP did not specify either or. He just said Rain-X.

I still think it is just best to spit on it and call it good.
