So I have a 2012 Double Cab Long Bed 4x4 Sport. I am ordering the Toytec ULK, with LR UCA's, and the Dakkar leaf pack. I am also ordering the carrier bearing drop. I am going with the XD Monsters 18x9 with the Nitto Trail Grapplers 285/65/18.

I may end up installing the lift and put the stock wheels back on for a few days while I wait to have the tires and wheels show up at Discount. Will I run into problems not getting the stock wheels back on once the lift is installed without the wheel spacers? I plan on installing the lift, then adding the tires and wheels, maybe the same day. I dont want to get the lift installed and realize then I have a problem since I cant get the wheels back on...

question that I have....it sounds like most frown on getting wheel spacers. from what I am seeing, spacers are needed when lifting and keeping the stock wheels on the truck. The wheels will have the 5 inch back space. the guys I have seen on this forum with these wheels do not have wheel spacers. I am assuming they are not necessary

then there are the backspace questions...
    http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/X...=18.00&Width_PQ=9.00&Bolt+Pattern_PQ=6+on+135
    4.53 inch backspacing
    5.71 inch backspacing

people have said 5 inch back space. Well, I cant exactly average the backspacing here so....which one? the 5.71 or the 4.53?

Even though I have 4wheel parts here, I am going through Discount Tire.

Your lift won't affect your ability to put on stock wheels. As far as I have researched, 4.5" backspacing is sufficient. Someone call me out on that please.

I also forgot one more question. Will I need that trim pack to offset the taco lean? from what I am reading, it looks like the OME kit is what this is used for. should i still order it with the ULK?

That only works with the OME shocks

    definitely get the 4.53" backspacing.

the ULK doesn't need a trim-packer spacer because they are adjustable. just crank the driver side up a little more

No because the coilover is adjustable, and you can turn up the drivers side a little more than the passenger.

Thanks guys, thats what I was thinking. that trim pack wont be in the cart!

So with the 4.53 backspacing, the wheels and tires will be sticking out a bit more than the 5.71 if I understand back spacing correctly. it should have a wider stance, even though it is minimal. Am I correct on this?

So I called toytec today and the billie rear shocks for the ULK are on back order until May. They will substitute the OME shock for the rears if I go with the ULK. I can get a $500 credit for my stock tires if I trade them in to the tire store before 2000 miles and I am a few weeks away from that, so May wont work for me. I also dont want to have my truck look like someone who is wearing mismatching socks. I want to keep the shocks looking the same.

It looks like I can get the extended travel ICON lift kit, with the diff drop, carrier bearing drop, shims, Dakkar leaf pack, u-bolts, LR UCA and anything else I'm forgetting shipped for about $2335 with the TW Discount. Unless someone gives me a good reason, I am going to order this kit tomorrow most likely. just trying to get my taxes wrapped up.
