I need my apartment checked out to see if there is a stud in the wall where I would like a 42 inch flat panal television and mount installed.
If there is a stud, I need the 42 inch flat screen and the mount picked up from a house in Beverlywood and delivered to my apartment (10 minute drive).
Once at my apartment the 42 inch TV and mount will need to be installed as well as extending and tacking down my DirectTV cable cord aprox. 10 feet to reach TV.

    $25 cash

    $25!............LMAO!

I was asked to give an opinion or perspective on this. Granted the video only starts at the point where the rider is attempting to lane split. I'm guessing it's legal in that country? Why did he pick that lane, when the far left was more open or was the far left lane a left hand turning lane?

The rider kicked the fender out of frustration or anger, unlike some who kick in "self defense" as one is merging into the rider's lane. It appeared that the rider kicked the fender, because the driver pinched him in. Her left front tire is on the dividing line from what I saw. Not quite in the next lane of travel, but on the line. The driver had NO right to ram him and in the state of Arizona, that would be considered Aggravated Assault. If somebody intentionally rammed me, I'm on fear for my life and would most likely respond in the use of deadly force. HOWEVER, I would not start by kicking the driver's car first. Use of deadly force would not be justified in that particular situation. It would be different had the rider merely verbally confronted her.

From a Law Enforcement point of view, the rider would be possibly charged with Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage (if there was damage to the car). The driver would have been charged with Aggravated Assault and Reckless Driving for colliding with the 2 other cars.

You may not agree with my words...these are merely MY perspective o things based on the information at hand.

Riding in the shoulder on the freeway is pretty much illegal everywhere (emergency vehicles only). As someone else has said, if traffic is moving, there's no need to split. As a rider who has split, I can assure you it is much safer. Even if you're deep in traffic, people can still rear-end you if they're not paying attention (which grows much more likely with cell phones). Even if it weren't legal to split, I would probably still at least move my bike up next to the car rather than sit behind it.

There's actually quite a bit of room between the lanes. In the #1 lane (fast lane), most drivers tend to stick to the left side of the lane, and in the middle lanes, they tend to ride in the middle, which leaves a nice-sized gap on the right of the #1 lane. The only vehicles that fill the lanes are large trucks. Probably the most unsafe time to split is just as cars are approaching a jammed situation. They tend to switch lanes abruptly to jockey for position.

    lane-splitting.jpg

The likelihood of someone abruptly changing lanes in stopped or very slow bumper to bumper traffic is almost nil. You have to have some forward movement to change lanes. In the picture above, imagine them all at a dead stop. There's no where to jump over. If it is done, you can usually tell when they're trying to as it tends to be slow and gradual as they inch their way in (they don't want to do abrupt changes as they might damage their car by hitting the vehicle in the other lane). As long as you're not speeding and you're sticking to 10mph over the flow of traffic rule, you're fine and can easily see it coming. In 30 years of riding in California, I've never had a close call from splitting. Once traffic is moving at 20 or more, I usually jump back in the lane.

I don't have a pic to post, but let's get this on back on track and open up a separate thread for this discussion. I keep coming back for more WTF only to be disappointed.

Arrrggghhh would be proud, except then he would say I didn't post anything.

I'm over it, I don't think it needs to be discussed anymore. Like I said before, that was not me nor my wife, so I don't care. My original point was, that people should have more respect for other people's vehicles. That not just my truck, its my hard earned money rolling down the road, and if someone kicks it, there is going to be a problem.

    Ok, I'm done now.
