This is my second set of Mickey's- my first set of MTZs. I've been running the ATZs for a year now; They've NEVER failed me. I imagine going one step up will only impress me more. Props to ya, man. Props.

    That's what i don't get.. 2400-2500 RPM @ 70mph.. Right now I'm at 1900-2000 RPM at the same speed..

Could the gauges be off because of the tires and gears?

With a stick shift you sit about 3000 at 70. So 2500 at 70 would Definetely be a plus. How's your gas mileage?

Hmm, the speedo is being pulsed from wheel sensors, not sure about that, typically its triggered from the output shaft of the trans, but then again, I'm new to Toyota

As I understand it, when going from 3.73 to 4.56, it takes more input rotations at the diff to get the same output rotation to the axles. This means more engine RPM (input) for the same speed (output). This is why lower gears give you more torque .. the engine is revving higher in the power band at the same road-speed.

EDIT - looks like hub sensors are for ABS and ATRAC only, speedo is still in the trans. I need to go use GPS and see how different it is, with larger tires and shorter gears most of the difference should be balanced out already....

Traditionally, yes. But from what I have researched the sensors are in the hubs for Toyota (at least 2nd gen Taco) so only the tire-size correction is needed on the speedo.

Anywhere from 15-19 based on where I am driving (offroad, hills, streets, freeway, etc...)
