Damn ... wish I had some of those on the shelf, I was gonna quote them cheaper. Sorry guys.

Rusty guy .. coastal air, chips in the coating. Got to keep up on that with touch-up paint or nail polish.

I thought the same thing and i even waxed them only to get rusts on the welds and on the end cap lips. Maybe just a poorly coated set?

I've heard they generally don't hold up well over time. I've had mine on a couple months, hoping they hold up but having a feeling I'll be taking them off to remove rust. I'm going to have them Line-X'd if it comes to that.

    Look goods and nice truck.

Also, what year is your truck? The site says some drilling may be required on 08 and older models. Was wondering if you had to do this.

I have the n-fab steps that look just like em.
Been on 2 years and still look great!
Wish I could say the same about my Aries full grill guard.
    It's rusting something awful!!

look into the Avid side steps. They are a listed dealer on this forum. I was going to do nfabs, but Avids look the same, and if i can save some coin, it will be well worth it.

I do like the Avids but two problems. I've heard they can be slippery when wet because they don't have a wide step or grip like the Nfabs. And they come uncoated plus add in the cost of shipping and it's about the same price for an unfinished product as the truckcustomizers cost for a finished Nfab product.

Just a suggestion. I'm leaning towards the avids, and going to use bed liner as a coating. Just my 2cents :)

Yep... LOVE the look of AVID though... just too much out of my range at the moment.

Does anyone know if the 3" tube is still available from Smittybilt/NFab?

I've been wanting a set of bars, these seem to be a good buy.
I'm just wondering how they look on a non-lifted truck before I purchase? Anyone have any pics?

Smittybilt doesn't make the 3" tube but Nfab still does. The 3" is more expensive than the 2" though. Weird thing on the Smittybilt though, from what I've heard when you order Smittybilt you get a cheaper price but the product you receive still says Nfab. So I don't know why they don't offer a Smittybilt 3" tube for cheaper than the Nfab since it's the same product but for some reason they don't.

I'm also looking to buy some bars for my new 2012. Just got the vent shades and bug shield and tool box, yesterday. Really looking forward getting the tube bar steps on in a 3" but can't seem to actually see them in a picture at all.
Where is the best place to buy the Nfab's and can you buy them with a mat finish.
