front driver side is sagging

like the title says. my truck when on flat even ground the front driver side sag down a little. I had a accident before where my truck hydroplane across a divider when I was making a turn ( curve road) and since it is the driver side that hit the divider first so I presume this is why it is sagging now. however I am not sure what to check for to see why it is sagging. does anyone have any opinion and insights?

I search nothing seem remotely related.


I drive fine, just annoying how front side of the truck look much lower compare to the passenger+ rear.
want to get it fix asap before I install my new wheels

 

Taco lean??

 

Are you lifted? I don't think i've ever seen a stock truck with a taco lean.

 

not lifted stock :O I drive a 2wd :\ how I envy 4x4

Driver Side lean=taco lean

It's from the weight of the driver, fuel tank, and battery. Normal for stock it lifted....especially on tired old suspension

oh I forgot to mention. anyway to make the driver side evenly? I dont like how both rear + passenger side look normal but my driver side look a bit funny

 

You get the lean from being stock too.

 

Not calling you a liar, just saying i've never seen a stock taco lean. I didn't get a lean until after I lifted. I still have a bit of lean even with the lean spacer.

Gonna start keeping an eye on stock Tacos, see if I notice any leans.

Really. Worn out coil spring probably making it worse.

Take a picture of the top of the coil spring for us. It's is a progressive spring, and the coils at the top are softer, but if they are squashed down and almost touching each other, they are likely toast. Replacing the coils would get you back to stock ride height (assumingno other factors or damage). How many miles?

 

worn leafs can contibute to it too....but OP said his was only leaning in drivers front.

My taco lean is pretty bad front and back. My driver side leafs are significantly more negatively arched than the passenger side.

Coilovers and wheelers 5 pack will fix that soon

Is your taco 1st gen? if so that's normal, all first gens lean a little on the front driver side.

 

mines a 2nd gen and I have the taco lean..driver side is about an inch lower than passenger. it annoys the hell outa me

yeah, its super hard to tell with that pic.

A pic from ground level would be best.

But, from that picture it seems like its not too obvious.

Like I and others have said...taco lean on the drivers side is normal.

New suspension (coils, struts, leafs) will fix it.

 

you'll need to take a better picture so we can have something in the picture for comparison. But yeah, the lean is pretty normal. New coils will probably straighten you up.

 

I've had the same issue in my 2010 double cab on stock suspension. I just measured and the front driver side is about 3/4" lower than the front passenger. I only have 33k miles, can the coils really be worn out this quickly? I don't offroad really, but do drive in and around NYC on really rough roads.

Any suggestions that won't break the bank would be appreciated.
