ok so i've had my lift on for 2.5 mos now and it seems like the upper ball joint is moving inward... i did initial trimming on the fenders and it was good for a long time but recently im rubbing a lot more than what i used to. i know for a fact that they were torqued to the correct foot pounds... anyone have this same thing happen?

    suspension settling ?

if your Upper ball joint is moving in and out, its shot.

test procedure: grab top of tire outside and inside, yank front to back. play? movement? clicking? tapping?

if the answer is no, its fine.

hes talking about the ball joint bolt to arm connection sliding. maybe it lossened up and slid or you hit something hard with that wheel. I retorqued mine like 5 times after the alignment, they take alot of force.

thats a tapered fit, it would be making a lot of noise to move like that... i think you'd notice it, well if you ARE concerned pop your wheel off and tighten her back to spec ;)

I knocked the shit out of one of my arms and fortunately it just pushed the ball joint all the way in, and didn't bend something.

Pull it out and re-torque it. I believe they changed the torque specs, might want to pull up the current PDF on SPCs website.

you know that would be very interesting, i mean i remember the setting was like 100 something lbs but if its higher.... i guess this weekend i'll have to get in and tighten it back up.

on another not driving home from work yesterday, had the windows down and i did notice a clicking coming from the front left. sounded spaced out, but more like if you get a rock wedged in your tire... i'll have to listen again today.

well i tore into it today, they most definitely moved...i had them set to +1 instead of +2 so i adjusted that and got it realigned... drives better then the day i took it off the lot. my instructions were at 150, i did 160 this time. just to be sure.
