as far as huntin goes the only thing i can think of is a gun rack. mostly because you cant hunt from a vehicle. you can make fishing rod holders on the side of the bed for transporting rods. keeps em from gettin all tangled and creating a huge mess

I know they are cheap but best damn seat covers I have bought for a vehicle... Made of heavy ripstop material and when they are dirty, throw them in the wash and they come out like new.... Just don't tell the wife, mom, or whoever that they went in covered in deer blood, fish guts, etc..

My grandfather hunts from his Toyota truck. He has 3 rear view mirrors set up to watch different shooting lanes behind him. He also has a winch with a swing arm in the bed that allows him to drag the deer and load in the truck despite how feeble age has made him. He does not hunt alone anymore as he is nearing the very end of his life but he is able to get out a few times a year because of his truck and mods done over the years. My uncle built the winch/swing arm. I will try to dig up a pic on the net.

Searching for a pic I found a diagram on this Texas site. This is the style Hoist/skinning/dragging/loading platform my grandfather uses.

I plan on going truck hunting too, as soon as I invest in a plate bumper....

Just kidding. That swing arm winch is a good idea.

I am going to have to do something because I sometimes bring anywhere from 3 to 6 rods when fishing. I have seen some nice setups on the fishing thread. I have seen some in there that I would actually put on my truck.

I just saw one where the guy put 2 of them together at an angle and mounted it to the bed rails. Not a bad idea. I have not seen rod holders in the walmarts in my area. But I have a Gander Mountain so I will have to look there.
