Fiberglass tonneau cover versus foldable

I was getting ready to pull the trigger on a Leer 700 series tonneau cover but want to make sure I am making the right decision. My main concers are security, appearance and versatility. I'd like to read opinions on which is the most secure foldable cover.

My primary reason for going with a fiberglass type was the locking feature and the durability, but the issue of not being able to transport large/tall objects on a whim troubles me. Please post your opinions based on personal experience. I'd especially like those who have had both. Thanks in advance.

 

Hey bro, have you looked at Undercover, now it comes black but can be painted, good thing is it has two locks, goes over tailgate and best of all can be removed by one person, hung up, and re-installed.

Thanks. I have but what happens if you are out somewhere, with the cover installed, and decide to bring something large home? This is the issue that has me hung up on this...

The Undercover is surely priced right though-wonder how much it would be to paint it?

 

have you checked into the bak flip tonneau covers, or the tri fold that toyota has?

I'm looking at the Fold-A-Cover. I know 2 guys that have them and they are nice. You can fold them forward or remove the whole top with 4 bolts. And it locks with the tailgate.

 

I have the fold-a-cover and really like it. As the guy above me said it is capable of securing the tailgate which was a big plus for me. It also opens from the front or back and locks in both places, it's a really nice cover. I'd recommend it. It's easier to store, easier to remove, less visible and more versatile IMO.

 

I have the Bakflip G2. With a tailgate lock, it's secure as well. Mine's held up pretty well. I like it because it exposes most of the bed when folded up (leans up against the back window area) and it lies flush with the bed when closed.

In CADive Tacos' pics in the review, the cover doesn't appear to fit flush like it does on the Chevy pictured above. How does your's fit?
