If you just had your alignment done, you shouldn't need another one just because you're switching tires. If everything still feels like it's tracking correctly, I wouldn't waste the money. The only exception would be if you're buying the warranty on the tires. Sometimes, in order for the warranty to be valid, you need to get the vehicle aligned at install and every so many miles afterwards.

Yeah you are right. I might need to get one for the warranty. Gonna see if there are any places that do RoadForce Balance. Heard its really good and gets your truck and tires in really good spec.

I'm not to worried about gas I use a full tank a week .
But going down to rausch creek will cost me a arm and a leg :D

I am running a Cobra 29 LX with a 4 foot firestik antenna. I bought it online for like 70 something bucks. The cool thing about the radio is that it receives the weather broadcasts and will break into the CB if there is a severe weather warning. It also has four different colors for the face illumination. I had a midland 5001 but it was acting really weird (digital channel display would turn on and off all the time) and was only like 30 bucks from bestbuy.

Yea I was looking at.cb's too. They have a compact cobra at Walmart I was thinking about getting. It's only around $35. I'm also considering a hand held kind too.

I bought it off Amazon I think. The best part is it has the SWR meter for tuning built in to it.

Hey Rob, I got the little Cobra too. Haven't installed it yet, still hunting down a firestick or wilson. How's things at your end? Horrible sled season I'm guessing!

I think its the older model but same thing. Its called the 19 Ultra III. Its not even on Walmart.com anymore but they have two of them at the new Supercenter in Smithfield RI.Its very small, I was thinking of mounting it I the center console, vertically in the small area that the net divides off.

Hey, the walmart near my work has cbs. Braintree. Between 30 and 60 bucks. They seem pretty nice and cheap. I would go that route. There is also a cb shop in Bridgewater or brockton that has alot of stuff. Dont know the name though.

By the way just for kicks I looked up my tire now and the duratracs. My general grabbers at2 load E are 57lbs each lol. The duratracs on same size 265/75 are load c 45lbs. Holy hell. No wonder why I have been getting a crappy ride and bad mpg. Didnt know about the load range rating and just brought them. Wow. Should deff be better ride and maybe some mpg back with the lighter duratracs.

Damn, you're running load range E?!?! Was that another Townfair Tire recommendation?

Yeah lol. Everyone seems so shocked when i tell them haha. I never knew what the rating were for back then so I just brought them not knowing and then found out 4 months later that it was a bad mistake lol. I learned my lesson now.Going from load e to c should make a big difference right? Thats a 12 lbs weight loss on each tire if i go to duratracs. That should help my mpg alittle dont you think? I know the duratracs are a more aggressive thread though.

No I went to tirerack lol. I did it myself not them lol

E to C should make a pretty big difference in ride quality and certainly won't hurt your MPG's. In the city, it will be more noticable because you don't have that initial heavy tire to get rolling off the start. The more aggressive tread pattern might bite you a little but the Grabbers weren't exactly a highway tire to begin with. Overall I'd guess you'll start getting better mileage.

Yea I'm thinking that cause it's a lesser load range and lighter tire. I know it's not gonna be a huge difference cause its a aggressive thread pattern but alittle helps me lol. Can't wait to get them and see how my mpg is and see how they do offroad. . 690 out the door installed isn't bad. The only good thing about town fair is they price match and give 20 bucks off too. Not bad

I don't know if it helps at all, but the one main weakness of the Duratrac is the sidewall. My understanding is they are prone to punctures or tears when in the rocks and such. I would think the E rating would give it a little better sidewall strength vs. the C.:notsure:

Anyhow, it was just a thought, I run the E's, but I might try the C's next time around. I don't have any complaints with mine and would buy them again in an instant!:D
