    The Aces are back in the post-season for the ninth consecutive time since joining the ECHL, and have secured their fifth conference championship and second in a row. They are closing in on their third ever - and second consecutive - Brabham Cup title as ECHL regular season champions, which would assure the team of being the higher seed throughout the playoffs. With the opening-round bye, Alaska has made the second round of the playoffs for the eighth time in nine years. Alaska's opponent in the Conference Semifinals has yet to be determined. The Aces will host the winner of the #4 vs. #5 Western Conference opening round matchup, which will be either the Colorado Eagles, Stockton Thunder, or Utah Grizzlies.

    The Aces finish their season this weekend by visiting the Ontario Reign and are one point away from clinching their second straight Brabham Cup.
