Once my engine is broken in I'm gonna have to play in the dirt. I've found some small trails, but I'm afraid to push it

So i got bored and went to HomeDepot...... and got some derp...

After reading numerous threads on how the guys with roof rack lights complain about the lights shining off the hood into their face I decided to flat black the hood to alleviate some of the light coming back at me.

So i wiped the hood down with 91% isopropyl alcohol and masked off the hood where i wanted to spray the derp.

Then i make off the rest of the truck
    [IMG]

    Let the derp begin!!

there are a few blemishes but I'm over it... i dropped the can while i was paining and made a mess to i scored the derp and peeled off the screw up and repainted it. I'll get some more pictures later.

Who knows when he'll get here.

I love flat black. Leave the rust, then chop the beezy. Get yourself a rat rod wheeler.

Andddd I will be waiting a long time, why now? I was assuming break in was around 1000-1500 miles. :anonymous:

I was referring to the optimal break in time for the engine to run efficiently. Not till it broke. If it was only gonna last 1000-1500 miles, I wouldn't own a toyota

I'm not sure if new cars have a "break in period"

most new ones do but it doesn't real make much of a difference. most if them are cold spun at the factory up toe redline if anything is going to fail it's then and there on a cold block and no oil.
