I was looking at them. There about 215 a tire. The duratracs I can get got 173 a tire. I like the way the BFg are in 265/75/16 but there a load range e. I already had e and my mpg sucks. There don't offer the 265/75/16 in a d or c. Sucks

Just keep in mind BFG's will look smaller than the Duratrac in a 265.

FWIW, like I said my Duratracs are at 21,000 miles mostly highway and aren't even close to needing replacing. And they're C range.

1000 out the door. That's alot lol. I can get them for 900 installed. Tire rack can be cheap sometimes lol and other times really pricey lol. All this choosing is tough haha. I have untill money to pick. If I could find a nice semi agreasive thread in a 265/75/16 I would get it. Hankook dynopros ATMs seem nice but idk

Have you had Duratracs wear out in under 30k?

I hate choosing lol. Even when I go to a store to buy milk, I'm there for hours choosing. I'm so indecisive

Both good tires. I made my pick based on the more aggressive tread pattern. Didn't like BFG 265's I saw with a lift before.

Well the original price was 1200...I save 150 and was happy with that..but keep in mind I got a bigger tire so they cost more. Tire rack has great deals for sure! I ran the Hankook atm's before I got these BFGs...they were okay tires. They had 30k on them and were at 4/32nds tread

Well I've had no issues with mine in the 2 years I've had them. Have performed well off road, in sand, and have been excellent in the snow up here in the NE. I would replace them with another set when the time comes.

Not trying to persuade away from BFG's by any means they're great tires for sure. Just keeping in mind his original statement that his current 265's look small to him. Short of seeing that same exact size BFG with the lift he may end up disappointed again.

Wasn't trying to sound like a douche btw lol;)

I mentioned in another thread earlier today on this same topic. There is a guide line that tire companies have to follow to have a tire concidered to be a certain size...there is a gray area so some ARE in fact bigger. BFG, Goodyear and Nitto are just a few to mention that run larger for sure! When I had my Hankooks (265) and my buddy had his Duratracs (also 265)...they were noticeably larger...so much that I thought he was running a 285...both of our tires were new

Perhaps he'd be alright then if the BFG's fall into that "beefier than normal 265's category haha.

but they only make the 265's in a E rating which he doesn't want because of the weight and mpg drop :goingcrazy:

OP, just get the Duratracs and call it a day....your stressing me out

No no you see if he gets scared away by the person you saw have them wear out fast he may end up going up a load rating anyways for extended life so the BFG's would be back in play.:D

I really hope my tread wear doesn't speed up in the next 9k miles and I have to come back to this thread to eat crow lol.
