Just curious what reactions you get from those who drive other brands.

I believe Ram drivers to be particularly obnoxious. I experienced this when I owned my prior taco, as well. They like to pull up next to me and rev the engine then peel out as if they are making some statement.

Yesterday, I was at a stoplight and this guy pulled up in a new Red Ram 1500 that was lifted. He had a HEMI sticker, 'Bad to the Bone' and 'Tapout' decals on his window , as well as a Union sticker underneath a 'Buy American' decal-- someone needs to tell the guy that Fiat is not American.

He kept glancing at my truck then started revving the pedal then peeled out when the light turned green and did a rapid lane change and aggressive swipe right in front of me that was close enough I had to tap my brakes. Silly.

I think I said this in another thread.

This goes away with age and maturity.

(in other words, when you stop measuring your own cock against the actions of other people, you'll stop noticing when other people do immature shit like you described.)

Well, I was young once and know the aggressive nature of youth. IMO, the aggressive truck buyers fall into two categories--the young guys filled with testosterone or the middle-aged accountant going through a mid-life crisis. Both are trying to prove something by buying the biggest truck that can be found. There is nothing inherently wrong with that at all. We all buy things for all kinds of reasons and there are no right or wrong reasons. I only take exception when it turns into poor road manners.

On another note, I was reading an article recently where some lady was writing that based on her experience, guys who buy the biggest trucks and don't really need them are compensating for something smaller. :) So I can give these rude drivers a break--maybe their poor road manners or road rage are due to packing 3 inches of pink steel.

Seriously, though, the RAM is a nice truck. I like the looks of it. Like the Tundra and F-150, I also test drove a 1500 the past month when truck shopping. It is just too big for what I need though.

Actually, I find the worse drivers and the most reckless are usually the young kids who can't yet afford something like a STI. They drive old Honda civics with loud magnum exhausts and rear spoliers and they dart in and out of rush hour traffic and just drive like out of control apes.

When you spend a lot of money on a vehicle, whether its a truck or car, you usually keep your senses about you in most situations because even though they may not be thinking about the safety of others, they don't want to wreck an expensive ride.

good example of this was a few weeks ago at the gym when we where leaving i came outside to a group of 3 guys laying on the ground looking at my truck lol.

when i approached them and asked them what the hell they where doing they responded cool truck we where just checking it out.

my truck is small. A lot of dudes with a physically larger truck, tend to think my tacoma isnt a real truck. different truck for different use. yeah your hemi is faster in a straight line. I didnt buy my truck to drag race so im not too worried about it.
