    Well..SOB!

I replaced my carrier bearing hoping to fix a rattling sound that keeps happening while under acceleration and reverse..didn't fix it  Then greased the drive line..didn't fix it  THEN while i was greasing, saw that both of my rear 5150s are leaking super hardcore  WTF!!

so, gotta call DSM tomorrow and hopefully get a warrenty claim on them. This could mean ill be relocating the shocks much sooner then i though. Im not sure if they have been over extended or over compressed yet..but either way, they won't hold up in Moab.

AND car parts aren't selling :pout: Which if i don't get some more cash here soon to start on the bed rack and get a RTT..things will be grim..haha

no not really. I think the leaks are pretty fresh.

and id rather run something that works then crap thats broken.

Hell, ill have enough weight in the back that i might be able to just get away with not running any shocks lol

You wont hurt anything by running on shocks that are leaking. They wont blow up or anything :D

Maybe you should go get a set of rancho's to run until you get replacements so you can still go do moab...:D:D:D

Kinda ironic though...because you are always telling people not to run ranchos because they suck... :D:D

    :p

i did it for over a week and had no issues what so ever. Shocks are just there to dampen the springs reactions. A bunch of weight does that too haha

and we will see what happens i guess.

I wouldnt bother replacing them with foxes now unless you got serious money to throw at it.

I'd get some replace mement billies, and save your money for your rack and RTT.

    IMO

Monte, I think this is clear, logical thinking. You will not putting many trail miles on your truck before Moab. I think you will be OK for now.

When I have seen this before, what happens is, the billies become stiffer and harsher the more they leak. You have a ways to go before you will hate them for their harsh ride.
