    The better coast
So if you decide to take off the sc because of a sell of something you have to buy a new ecu for the truck? Or do you think they will come out with a program to remove it later on? Not that I'm looking at a 2012, but I'm just curious.

And if for some reason if the dealership accidentally installs the sc calibration on your truck and you don't have an sc, your just sol on the whole thing?

If Toyota has supposedly not yet released the fit kit for the 2012 (the list of excuses why gets longer each week), how are some dealers selling them if they do not yet exist ? Or is the part number for the fit kit wrong ?

You obviously aren't paying any attention...the fit kit was due to be released anytime...they don't have to tell anyone its getting released.

The fact that the Part number is on the internet...the instruction manual for the 2012 supercharger installation including fit kit is on the internet...means only one thing...

That it is now available! Just because one warehouse doesn't have the part...doesn't mean it isn't in another warehouse. Congrats at reading fail!

Remember how I said as long as it wasn't too good to be true? Well I just received the box and besides the "Main Assembly" there was a smaller bag of (5) not (6) of the M8 X 35 mm Reduced Shank Hex Head Bolts. Is that ALL that's supposed to come with P/N PTR29-35090? I need a parts breakdown of what's included in that.

That really sucks bro...mabe call trd and say you got in an accident and need to order parts from the kit itself? That being said I'd also get the charger inspected by an approved rebuild facility to see if it was used/damaged previous.

Just call TRD and state that the part is missing. It actually says in the install manual to check for all parts before starting installation and immediately call TRD if any are missing. They are supposed to inspect each S/C before it leaves the factory to make sure all the parts are there. I'm sure they will work with you if one is missing.

I would do that however I was being a cheap-ass and trying to save cash by buying it on eBay. Also, this gentleman is certainly not a certified dealer. He has recently contacted me and I sent him the link that Commanderwiggin posted that has all the parts and this is his reply
"Ok I will have the parts to you by the end of the week I didn't know I need
    all the parts.
I stand behind all the stuff I sell. So as soon as I have
tracking I will let you know."

What's WRONG with people?! I just hope to get as much of this resolved as possible and get this INSTALLED! Thank you again Commanderwiggin for that link!

I will certainly do that. I was checking out your build while on duty the other day, Looks AWESOME! Enjoy your vacation time and sound the alarm when these fit kits come out! You been doing any research on the new UCON EMS? I've been thinking about holding off for that as well to keep from having to reflash my ECM.

Well still not available even from the dealers that list the part number. The site that lists the part number today said "the part is on back order and we are just waiting for them to show up" The person i spoke with also said a few weeks and they should be in. Big emphasis on the should from what it sounded like. We could be talking weeks to months, but it will be released for sure.

Well long travel here I come supercharger is on the back burner till available.

Just received this email from a local dealership today:

"I just found out that they have released the supercharger fit kit for the V6 Tacoma. The fit kit (PTR29-35120) is one day away and costs $360.00. The supercharger (PTR29-35090) is also one day away and costs $4140.00. The labor would cost $600.00. Would you like us to order one for you?"

    My response:

    "Hell yes."
