So i have a JVC double din, and a JBL 12 inch sub, a MX3 bass controller, and a 1000 watt amp.

When i have the car on and have the bass controller know all the way to the right the sub makes a bunch of noise, even if the volume on the head unit is turned all the way down. Sounds like the sub is idleing if that makes sense?

But idk what it could be i have changed the ground location 3 times! I checked all the RCA connections. so if anyone has any clue what it could be id appreciate the input

    sounds like feedback.

if your RCA cables are not high quality they could have really crappy shielding.

does it make the noise with the car off? does it change if you rev the engine?

it is picking up frequency put out by the alternator. i would try higher quality rca if you dont already have good quality. (no scosche crap)

the best setup (and still cheap) is to get RCA ends and put them on good coax cable.

i have $50 monster cables and no hum. The scosche ones i got in a kit, hum like crazy, i cut them up and the shielding was thin foil that was wrapped. braid is much better shielding

my other vehicles are always rf coax that i get from work. i cut off the BNCs and put RCAs on and they are the best
