Afternoon Carl. Bought gas today @$3.81 a gallon. Paid $3.81 a gal 11 days ago also. Hope it starts to drop a little. Either way it is still inexpensive.

Made the Tacoma work this morning. Doing a lot of pond work last week and into this week.

Paid $4.25 a gallon (reg unleaded) two days ago. Wondering if it'll make it all the way to $5 this year. :notsure:

Seems like Alaska would have it's own state run refineries.

I wish...haven't been able to make sense of it. But it's pretty much the norm.

Looks like you're finishing up the waterfall/pond.

Hopefully by tomorrow. I took all the stone to the back yard then ran a dinner errand.

I am going out back now to start to work with the block and to but in some structure for the fish to hide from the Great Blue Heron. Dang gone bird can eat all the fish in the pond in about a half hour.

My son wants to shoot them but I have to keep reminding him the Blue Heron is a protected species. ;)

That is just full of WIN! and  all at the same time. I mean, a Great Blue Heron cleaning out the fish in the pond...structure for the fish to hide under...son wanting to shoot the Heron.

Best chuckle I've had today! Thanks Tom!

Back to work Monday after a round trip from Erie PA to Detriot MI. My wife was sent there last week by the bank she works for to help with an aquistion. Drove out to spend part of the weekend with her. Drove out Saturday, back Sunday evening. Total miles driven Saturday morning to Sunday evening, 625 miles!

Nothing major or fancy. Just stuff to make it work better for me. Running boards, seat covers, BakFlip
Evening everybody. We got a little sunny weather today in between storms. Went out and cut a little of next year's firewood and actually made progress toward cleaning out the shop.

The Firestone Air Bag kit showed up today. It looks pretty good except that everything was just thrown loose into the box . The air bags don't look like they suffered any from all the metal parts hitting them but man, what a lousy packing job. All the metal brackets look good, nice and sturdy.

I'm headed down to Folsom tomorrow for the spring TSB and I have to work the rest of the week but maybe this weekend I'll have time to put the airbags on.

Morning all!! Looks to be a nice spring day here.

That Firestone Airbag mod looks like something I might do - where are you buying the kit?

Lynn and I write a check for our Federal taxes every year. We figure that we can get a better return on the money that the Government gives us - or at least we can enjoy it before we have to send it to them. We just manage our tax paid to keep us from having to write any more than a $2k or $3k check on April 15.

Do you want a pic from the backside, or have you got it figured out. This just reminded me I was supposed to take one. :sorry:

FWIW I've been happy with the air bags...they suit my purposes. I found mine on craigslist, but several RV sales places carry them up here. Not sure where to get the best deal.

Kristi and I have our taxes about where ya'll are.

 Good morning folks, have a great day. --Rob

    Good morning all.

Yesterday saw a lot of work completed on the pond maintenance.

Here is a pic before the hiding structure is installed in the pond. The trench you see is actually 12" deep.

    DSC_0032-1_5f9be8087fa55631078d652668dc37fe6f6ab380.jpg

I placed 4 small 2" thick rocks down first to support the larger flat rock.

    DSC_0033_585a4dfcdbfeb328f76c169fcdba18989842e476.jpg

I also put down another large rock on the other side of the bridge. I will be placing planters on top of the rock to hold aquatic plants probably later tis week.

    DSC_0034_5b0791fb46cec563703acda6d0e6482a08e6e94d.jpg

I also made a lot of progress elevating the pond liner 2", using 2" blocks from Lowes, and restacking the existing stone. If you look you can see the difference in the stack as I work towards the bridge. The bridge has already been elevated 2".

    DSC_0035_c1a9a591949c0685a4b1fe34b7ab9ee30c3cef7d.jpg

Today I am going down to the eastern shore of MD to run some coax TV cable and a Cat 5E cable for a TV at my sisters beach house. She will then be able to stream Netflix to the TV.
