Hello all, need some help. I'm getting a front end clunk, almost like something is binding up then giving at all different times. It happens when wheels are turned and when they are straight, but mostly when i hit bumps. It's getting worse pretty quickly so am looking for some quick assistance/knowledge. Also, bought this truck used with a 3" body lift, spacers, AAL's and rear shackles. Any assistance is appreciated.

What kind of clunk? Can you identify if it is from the engine, driveline or suspension/etc..? What kind of engine/trans/4x4?

All those lifting components can't be good put together with a body lift.

If it is when you hit bumps seems like it might be a bushing is going bad somewhere. Certain side of the truck it comes on?

Seems like it comes more from the right front side, I know it's a Sh!*&y setup, but that's how i bought it, I've already updated my profile, but it's a 4x4 extra cab, 3.4 manual. The only other thing i've done is the grey wire mod.

Right, didn't notice his is a first gen. Mine has been making the sound ever since I installed the lift. Nothing is loose or anything, and it clunks and makes a rattle sound whenever i hit small bumps, no idea what it is

Well the thing rides like a tank anyways. Don't know how long the shocks have been on it or the rest of the lift, but i can feel every ripple and pebble in the road as it is. Everything seems to be working but it's my DD so i want to fix it before it puts me at the bus stop..

Probably your upper controll arm ball joint maxing out when you go over a bump. Does it clunk right after you crest over the bump when you suspension tops out?

No not really, it will do it when even when i'm just turning and moving lock to lock in a parking lot.

Could be loose/worn out steering rack bushings if it happens when turning while parked, can you feel any play in the steering wheel?

I chased a "clunk" in the front of my truck for months. It wouldn't happen all the time and would usually occur when I hit a dip in the road not a jolting bump. It finally happened in a drive through a few weeks ago and I could make it do it when I rolled forward and hit the brakes. I then could hear a faint sloshing liquid sound. That's when I realized it was the washer fluid sloshing back and forth. It would start doing it when the level got down to a certain point which is why it wouldn't do it consistently.

Maybe its the steering shaft clunk? The steering column is a two piece design, resulting in a less than stellar steering feel.
