mag lite mount mod

hey guys

i've read from a few 1st genners that they were having trouble finding room to mount their maglite in thier truck since we can't mount it on the door side of the drivers seat like the 2nd genners do.

i don't have a bed box to put it in so i had to find a place to mount it in the cab this is what i came up with...

i actually really like it





anyone else do this??

 

thats a pretty good mounting spot.

i mounted mine vertical, on the plastic pillar piece just above where the seat belt goes in at the bottom, in my double cab.

 

my 2nd mod today was to vacuum it

i was thinking of that but does your seat rub on it if you recline it or scoot it forward/back?

 

i usually drive with my hand on the shifter so it will only be a few inches away if i need to "persuade" someone away from my window

 

not at all........completely outta the way. i can reach it easily too.

 

Where do you guys get the clips? I looked at Wally world could find them & would really like to do this since I never can find a flashlight or my bag where my pen flashlight is.... thank you

 

i got the whole kit at sams for $20..................not sure if they have them now though....although they do run them from time to time. if you cant find these exact clips...........you can get a pair of quickfists from a hardware store. hey work really well.

i have mine in the corner of the xtra cab..Does the job just as well also.

 

Get these instead of the plastic clips. Cost less, and will last forever. They are called Quickfist, from End of the Road Inc out of Nashville TN. Only $9. Highly recommend!!
