i was playing around with my 07 sport and i got to the blank switch spots on the left side of the dash (the second row below the factory location for fog and av button is) and when i popped them out, there was two harness's hanging there. what are these for? traction control?

if so where are you guys purchasing you switches from?

The one on the right is the RSCA switch, and the other is the DAC switch.

OEM running boards and roof rack. Yellow fog bulbs and WeatherTech mats and window visors.
They are more than likely for the RSCA and down hill assit I think for the OR version. Some manufactures make 1 harness that is mutli-plexed to the systems controller to save cost instead of making custom harnesses as the vehicle is being made. Chris had the right switches. I was just guessing.

I think it's RSCA- Roll Sensing Curtain Airbags. OP has an access cab. No side airbags, or possibly just optional until 2009. My 2006 AC does not have the side airbags.

My truck has the Clutch Start Cancel button in the center spot in the lower row of switches. The outer two on the lower row are blank.

My 2009 company Tacoma has RSCA and traction control / auto LSD switch in those two outer spots.

Could be one of a few things that can go in that area.
    1. Auto LSD. (Traction Control)
    2. RR dif Lock (Rear Differential Lock)
    3. DAC (Down Hill Assist)
    4. Clutch Start Cancel
    5. RSCA Off (disables Side Air Curtain)
    Below is my TRD Sport

As previously stated, most likely they are RSCA on the right and DAC in the center. However, just putting in the switches won't make you have those options. I wish it did. :)

What you can do is use the plug to the left in your picture to connect to the dimmer circuit. I used the solid green wire and green/white wire to power the light in an FJ cruiser aux light switch so it dims with the dash lights.

    Conspiracy!

OP maybe pre-wiring like how they already had the pre-wiring for fogs.

if you have a light switched in 3 locations you'd have two 3 way switches and one 4 way switch, the 4 way in between the 3 ways. there should be two 3 wire cables at the 4 way.
