Calling on all 4x4 reg cabs!!!

I am about 3 hours from my truck, having my driveshaft repaired. Problem is I forgot to measure flange to flange on the rear drive shaft.

Is there a chance someone with a reg cab 4x4 can measure the total length of the drive shaft from flange to flange or how long the section of tube is.

If measuring flange to flange it is important to measure on the same part of the front and rear flange.

 

The tube on my 2012 reg. cab 4X4 is 34 3/8 from outside edge of weld to outside edge of weld. I claim no responsibility for your outcome.

Now, keeping in mind that it varies depending on how far you're lifted and how your axle is shimmed: I currently have 51&3/4" on top 51&13/16" on the bottom, outside-of-flange to outside-of-flange.

That's with OME Dakar springs in back, shimmed to make the flanges as parallel as possible, favoring the bottom 1/16" longer than the top.

It would be shorter at unlifted ride height, with the slip-yoke further inserted into the tube.

 

So, don't leave us in suspense - what did you do that required your driveshaft to be in need of repair?

It was on a hill climb on the north side of mead lake bed in JV. Got off the trail into trouble quick lol. The ground is soft and shifty with it so dry. I had no steering backing down. It was either potentially flopping trying to turn around or back straight into hell.
