What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

just a fyi i put 35w 5000k hid in my (turn signals) for the fog light mod and they melted the back of the housing out do to the fact that the turnsignal housing is not rated for that high of heat...so just beware......mine literally melted out the back and fell out while driving

 

Thanks! Yup! My original plan was to just use normal supports for it but I found a really good deal on the actuator so I went that route.

 

265's is what im running and they seem a bit small to me but they dont look to bad either, 255's is where its at imo! & the km2's are pretty sweet so far, just dont expect them to last for more than 50k at best from what ive heard

i'll get the tires before the lift so 265 will be good because i dont think 255 will look good with a 3 inch lift, will be too small
idk if i'll go with BFGs, Cooper has been a really good tire and they make good looking aggressive all terrains and mud terrains

 

just fab up a piece of metal that can replace it

 

its a 33? just narrow.

 

What housings did you get?

 

i dont like the narrow tire, i have too narrow on now

 

oh okay, i was just wondering how a 255 was smaller lol. 255s feel out the fender way better than a 265.

Yea nick the 255/85's are something like 33.3" tall and only 1/4" narrower than my tires now which are 265/75 and is a 31.6 or so.... 255's would look much better and perform just as well as a fulsize 33 without the width

 

Finished re-painting/re-building my lockouts. Kept one set still OE looking and decided to paint one set orange (for some reason.... lol) Which one do you all like better? One set will go on the truck and one set will be used as spares

 

I kinda dig the orange actually
