Annual Spring Mojave Run May 4-6, 2012

man i'd love to go but not sure if I can just yet..... pissed about the cbvrs RR especially cuz I just bought my Cb not that long ago/........

 

Hey Jeff.. i think ur truck is fine with what yu have done.. you will need 1) 2x 5 gallon cans of gas (must have)
2) radio should be mandatory. matt and greg have cool handhelds
3) recovery strap and d ring. optional i carry that
4) food and snacks
5) GPS optional
6) shovel helps unless ur Matt and never get stuck.
7) couple quarts oil
8) spare
9) normal tools everyone normally has stuff.
10) extra parts if u have it

if anyone can think of more, chime in please..

 

ok..... can someone help me I just went on ebay and looked for race radio and can only find handheld two ways & scaners... can someone pm a link or some

 

use ur cb i think im going to buy one. and i think there will be others with them.

 

Myself and Greg are rolling out from san diego Thursday, also Matt(Lembowski) may also be joining us , so you can just jump in on this caravan Tyler!

 

Look up the ICOM-V80 e handheld 2m radio and we will mod it for you to pick up the race channels OK

I'd suggest everyone bring there own recovery strap and d-ring shackle. You should be self sufficient if the group splits in two and you need to be recovered. It happened on the last run when our 4x4 got stuck.

We'd love to have a slow mid travel guy with 4x4 and a winch. Just be prepared to put in work with us 2wd. We'll have a group of mid travels (myself) and LT's. Don't worry about being mid travel. We'll pass the LT guys when they break down and have to make adjustments.

A group of guy are staying in Laughlin Thursday night at the Avi hotel. There are other hotels in Laughlin about 13 miles away that you can stay at if the Avi is booked. Some of the guys are coming in Friday morning. All of us will meet up Friday morning and roll out. Friday and Saturday night we'll be camping along the trail.

Also, feel free to bring any extra parts even if you think you might not need them. Someone else might break and they'll need a part that you have. Yes, it's happened. James broken a cam bolt and Mike had a replacement. Chris got a flat and he had spacers that wouldn't fit his spare, Will had replacement spacers that fit.

 

If JESUS comes with us, we'll be problem free!

X2! Also my after market lug nuts didn't work because they were the incorrect style for my stock spare! Lol

Thanks James.. I have everything except the Jerry cans.. I can get those from Harbor Freight..

I will order some recovery straps and D-rings too.. and I'm looking at the Icom V-80, Matt says he can mod it for Race freqs..

 

got mine at wall mart. i want to say i paid around 20 for both..
