Is it an aluminum tank?
and thats pretty much all you need. Maybe an air impact gun to remove the tires quicker too. lol

 

All I want it for us to air tires up out on the trail. Have a compressor at home for tools. I just kinda think 20lb is too bulky

 

I need a welding table! annd I need to stop blinding myself

haha yea, I'd be more over it if it was for a locker... I'm just using it for tires since I have the e-locker.

 

It says its only $50 in materials. looks like a fun project

 

gotcha, ya I have been "locked" for over a year now but not usable locked....sux how lazy I am. Really its been I am not happy with the mounting locations that are available under the hood, dont want bolts and nuts going into my fender-well and be visible from outside. Might make a bracket and have someone who is great at welding aluminum weld the bracket on which would allow me to mount the compressor to that

 

You don't have that spot on the pass wheel well that most people put the ARB? That's where mine is going to go... should be really clean.

I have a ton of room there, and I saw some post awhile back that the bolts sticking up it'd actually line up to it (I think some minor bore out on the mounting bracket or something). Might be a '10+ thing but I'm not sure. Either way I haven't personally test fit it yet but I have a ton of space there even with the AFE CAI

 

There was no room on my truck. Ah but your brake system is different than mine. You have an 09. They changed the proportioning valve or something

'10 actually but yea. The controller is completely different with A-TRAC and such... now that I think about it I think my 08 had some nightmare of a contraption mounted over there

 

my 06 had that contraption as well.. my 09 doesnt, its empty in that corner too. so they definitely changed.

 

Yea, I have no room anywhere for my ARB compressor when I get it. I am seriously looking at bed mounting it somewhere.

 

I have a huge spacer there between fuse box and brake booster but dont want the bolts going through the sheet metal, want it to look clean from the outside

 

bolt heads outside and the nuts on the inside. Problem solved. That was easy
