I quit my job a few weeks back and decided I was either going to go to Alaska or Arizona. Alaska never panned out and I got really lucky and landed a job in Tempe. I'm so excited to get out of California!!! I gave California a fair chance, but it just isn't for me and it never felt like home.

It's amazing how much stuff you accumulate that you never use, I'm trying to fit my life into the back of the Tacoma. I looked at getting a Uhaul trailer for my bed, but I'm not really set up for towing and can only take the smaller trailers, and the bed doesn't fit in those. If I were to get the big Uhaul truck so I could fit the bed, it would cost about $1.2K (including gas), so I'm going to have to leave it behind.

It's kind of scary to pack up and move somewhere and leave all your friends and network behind, but I think this move will be well worth it.

I feel your pain- I did the same thing when I moved out here from Cali (although you have a bit farther drive then I did).

Always stuff going on out on the East side- WELCOME!

You both are wrong, south scottdale. 30 minutes to riding up north, or to syc out east. Nothing but rocks out west so no need to go that way. Plus Im 10 minutes from everythiing, 20 from downtown and the art area, 20 minute bike ride to old town and papago park jumps, 20 drive to the light rail with free parking at the park and rides, 25 min drive to south mountain. Old town/south scotts is the prime real estate.

The traffic does suck during spring training but on Im used to it. I did the living on the outskirts up in north phoenix. Over that shit, I have no problem living close to people. Down with being social. Shit jsut the block that my boy lives on there are 5 different houses with dudes building bikes or crawlers or drift cars.
