haha oh hell ya, when I was younger we'd go to Tijuana (back then it was a really chill place to go & have a few drinks not the shooting gallery it is today) anyway we'd go to TJ & pick up tons of M-80's, & they were equivelant to 1/4 stick of dynamite, no shit & those fuses were just what you'd expect from a cheap explosive they either had to be re lit a dozen times (not my favorite thing to do) or they'd almost blow up in your hand the sec. a spark hit it. Shit sometimes they didn't even go off & THAT was the holy grail of the whole experience..:eek::eek: Then you had to go retrieve it & gotta say its nerve racking as hell to walk up on that unexploded device, get about 2 ft from it & have it go off, it will make ya shit yer shorts....ahhh , good times....:D

This thread must rise from the dead again! Was searching for a rant thread and found this.

I sit here at my desk preparing the perfect murder. I am not crazy enough to go through with it - but who knows what Monday morning will bring.

I used to love my job. When I first started working here, life was great! I just graduated college, had a very impressive work knowledge through prior jobs, and the employees I worked with made me smile and we became good friends outside of work. Fast forward 3 years and this place kills me....It wasn't even that bad 6 months ago; the real slippery slope started when we hired the new employee.

Most of my previous coworkers have moved on; I feel like I missed the boat on that one. Had a job offer to work in the city at the same pay (commute would mean less take home) and the opportunity to advance professionally was a huge incentive. Sat down and talked to my current boss and explained my situation about the job offer, he thought it over the weekend and counter-offered with a salary I could not turn down. I make more money but the bullshit is still here. That was almost a year ago....

Enter present day and the new guy works on the other side of my cubicle wall. I can hear him typing right now. He is a shit head of the worst kind of person in my books - a sideswiper in the professional world. Steals jobs out from under me, trys to complete unfinished work that he has no idea what he is doing, runs projects over budget because he has no idea we try to turn a profit here, and is a fresh out of college "know-it-all". I was in his shoes when I started here, I was the bottom of the totem pole once, but I sure as shit didn't behave like I ran the place. I knew my place, did the shit work because thats what the new guy does, I kept my mouth shut when being taught something and didn't try to jump ahead to show off. When he runs projects over budget, MY PROJECTS, I catch the shit because my initials are project manager. I assign him small stuff to do like research and filling out forms, I come back to check and low and behold, my drawings have a new "save as" date. Technically is he doing anything wrong/against company policy? No, he just refuses to stick to the guidelines of what I ask him to do. He does not take his time in performing the menial tasks and fucks them up; I catch the mess up at a later part of the project which has been known to send it all back to square one.

Even worse than his work ethic, his personal hygiene. I have no idea what it is, but I needed to buy an air freshener for my desk because I couldn't take it. His scent makes me queazy. He clears his throat very loudly every five fucking minutes, even when I am on the phone with a client (4 fucking feet away). He shits in the bathroom, does not use the fan, sprays a gallon of air freshener, and then trails his shit/flower puke inducing smell back to my corner of the office and goes on clicking away. Fuck him.....

I know I could apply for a new job and all will be well - I am not worried about getting hired elsewhere. I have a good work ethic and know my material; the fear of a new job keeps me here. Having to learn a new way of doing everything, the uncertain future of being the new guy is a lot of burden to carry. Here, I will be the last person to be let go if work slows down (this place would come to a halt until I was replaced with someone who knew the programs we use inside and out). I get along great with my boss and everyone else which makes me feel weak; I search job postings and am clicks away from applying because of the shitface new guy. HR can't even touch the guy because he knows whos ass to stick his big nose up and sniff. Fuck me, fuck this guy, fuck this place, fuck you, and more importantly, fuck my attitude. I know if I just lighten up and keep on keepin' on, it will be fine. He is not a malicious guy, just a brazen screwup who doesn't know up from down.

    Phew, that feels better.

^ thats rough man, i say start looking for a new place but don't quit just yet, even if you make less money you'd feel better leaving all those fucking shitty people behind, also when you do find a job take a shit on your guy's desk as a parting gift :D

Have you explained to him that he is not to touch YOUR drawings unless you tell him to? He does sound like a real tool bag though, either get him fired or move on to bigger and better things.
