look at the suspension set up closer, Max. 1/2 plate pushes the coilover further down at the MOUNTING POINT of the coilover on the LCA. Therefore the lower shock bolt is pushed down 1/2 inch. But the coilover is mounted inboard of the wheel mounting surface. The further in on the control arm you push down, the more is it pushed down on the wheel mount surface.

    know what i mean?

Ok Max. i spend too much time on this diagram because i am bored. examine this, good sir.

lets say that spacer is 1/2 inch.

the amount of lift youll get at point A. you'll get about 1 inch. At point B. is 1/2 inch. At point C. you'll get maybe 1/16 inch. Because the control is swinging(up and down) from the point in which it is mounted to the frame. The further out on the control arm you are, the more actual lift you will get.

I've been thinking maybe I ought to have Eric cut out some spacers from steel. 4 of em from 3/16 and then on two of em make pierces so we can tack two of em together.

If a 3/8 spacer makes a 1/4" difference might be a little better on the CVs. It looks damn good but the CVs are steep now.

I dunno. Also be nice to have a couple more threads poking out the top of the nut. Right now theres about one.

Might have to slide out the cv boots using hose clamps.

edit: I forgot to say I got all my wheel bearing parts and a spare u-joint and inner/outer TREs. Whoo!

Spinning my tires through something I guess? Probably on my last trip to dog valley. I hit a bit of snow and mud where I had to get on the throttle. Not sure though for certain.

Hey Max. I was just on a business trip to Reno last week and pretty sure I saw your truck. I was stopped at a red light on S. Virginia between Peppermill and Atlantis, looked next to me and saw a grey Taco with a snorkel, ARB front and HC rear and assumed it was yours. Nice looking Tacoma. I was bummed I had a rental - looks like a truck playground anywhere you go outside of the main city.
