and talked to the service manager. The same guy I talked to about my supercharger install that they did.I didn't buy my truck at this dealer.
He told to bring the truck in.I asked if that meant he would add the leaf,he said he would check everything out.I told him I don't want to drop the truck off for nothing. He said bring it in and sounded like he would do the job..I even told him about the door 290lb less sticker. We'll see.
Hello 5100s or Icons if they do the leafs.:)

Have them install the 5100s during the TSB fix for free.

I raised a little hell and got my 08 non-covered by the tsb at the time done. I had a Toyota field technical specialist look at my truck, he basically came down here from Northern NJ we loaded my truck up with 5 people took it for a ride and it bottomed out and he called Toyota HQ to get the OK for them to do the TSB. Good luck man.

I haven't bottomed out yet but I haven't loaded up the bed yet.
In a couple of weeks I'll be working around the house planting stuff and will pick up bags of mulch and top soil.
Is there any difference on the 3 leafs set on the '09 versus the TSb trucks?
The 290 LB less sticker makes me think the same weak set up is in place.
Unbelieveable that toyota would keep this crappy leaf set in for 3-4 years having had TSBs.

When I got my TSB done I asked them if they could install the 5100s for me since they were already working on the suspension and they did. Worked for me so it coudn't asked to ask.

90% of Tacoma buyers will never have a problem with the 3 leaf spring set up.

You have the same leaf springs I had on my 08 before I got the TSB done. The first time I bottomed out I have 3 guys from work and myself in the truck. (each guy weighing about 220-250) I used my truck as a truck (I haul all kinds of stuff) though so you may not need the tsb. I plan on keeping my truck for a very long time and I don't want to have to worry about the rear sagging in the future. They guy I dealt with from Toyota was Nick he was a really nice guy and he is from up your way 973 area code. If you where closer I would let you take my truck for a ride to see the difference in ride.

    Interesting.
May be true because Toyota hasn't made a change even with the TSBs.
It seems if you have a 500 lb load and a couple of people in the truck, the leafs don't do the job.
Granted,I haven't had a problem yet because I haven't been in that situation but will.
I'm curious if you even been in that situation without a problem.:)

With no load in the back?
    That's pitiful.

Good point but if I do get the TSB,I may go with Icons.I've read they produce a better ride.
