 I have the hennessy. I have the expedition asym. Make sure you get the larger cover because the last time I had mine out, it rained all damn weekend and at one point, the rain was blowing in on my face. Otherwise, great hammock. I am about 5'11" and it fits me fine with a little more room to spare.

edit: take a look at page 5-6 of this thread. We talked about the hammocks a little bit there and I expressed my love/hate relationship about mine. I should also note that because of my back injury, I cannot sleep in my hammocks anymore. Tried it a couple weeks ago just in the back yard and my back was not lovin it

Sweet! I've heard nothing but great things about them. I'm 6'4" 200lbs, I need the bigger hammock lol. and it definitely rains enough here to pay a little extra for the better fly.

    thanks for the help!

I have a Hennesy Expedition and an ENO with bug guard and fly. I find I never (in fact not in the last 5 yrs) taken my Hennesy out. I feel to constricted in the jungle style hammock. When I lived in Kauai I got accustom to my ENO and the versatility of seperate componants. Pretty much have exclusivly used that. I can take the underquilt in the winter and no bug net or vice versa so I am not toting extra weight in the 4 seasons of camping that I dont need.

I will say tho I love a hammock rather than a tent. And if you camp where it rains spuratically its so nice to be out of the water.

it is nice to be able to adjust your system to save weight but it seems to me that im more protected in a tent. especially in rain. and then there is that awkward moment when you stop for camp and there are no trees......that always sucks.

Ya true. I have a couple of Cams from climbing and a couple pieces of webbing that are light weight that I take and attach to rocks, trees or whatever. Just to old and my back dont take to the ground like it used to...
Camped in a rain storm in my hammock where it was a down pour and stayed nice in my hammock with the fly. Plus I have a gear loft so my gear stays out of the water under my hammock.

I have encountered that tree issue once. mine was more of, they were all too damn close so I ended up in a ball down in the bottom of the hammock at night. It was a constant battle staying flat in that hammock.

 Thank god where I normally hike on the AT there are trees... Lots of trees. So I don't think there will be any issues with sagging! Lol

Great camping accessory - who doesn't love fresh bread out of the oven? You can also use it to do a roast, whole chicken, ribs etc.

I get that it is steel, as a welder I could figure that one out....But I was curious if it was made from something industrial that was used as something prior to being a backwoods oven. Like I have a smoker I made from an old expansion tank and an old propnae tank, both steel, but would not have been my response to what it was made from.
