This can't be good. It came on Friday in my truck right before I was about to make a 120 mile drive. The light has only shut off once that day when I fueled up and the truck was off for maybe 8 minutes? But has been on ever since.

Do I need to bring it into the local Toyota dealership (whom I don't have the best relationship with) or do I do something else? I do all of my own vehicle maintenance, and I just hit 78k on an '07.

    Thanks

I am guessing it is a part of the recent recall... Check with your dealership.

Thanks for the advice dudes. I called my dealership and they told me it was a cable they will be replacing in 2005-2010 tacomas with this problem. Looks like I've got the problem.

I also signed up for the toyota.com/owners website, it's pretty cool.
