P0351 CODE

I was driving home and my truck just died. No running rough of anything...just died. So we pushed it home, tried starting and nothing. I could hear a high pitched humming coming from the throtle body. So I thought mabye that was the problem. I happened to have one to try and swap to see....nope, same thing. So I brought home a code reader and got the P0351 code (Coil A malffunction). I put a coil in it and still nothing, even tried and igniter. Things are pointing towards a faulty ECU. None of the wires appear to be chewed(by mice) or broken. i guess we will see if the ECU fixes the problem.

 

Turned out to be a broken wire on the harness that goes to the igniter.

 

My truck is having the same issue and (without going outside to look under the hood) I believe it was a green wire coming out of the igniter plug that has been spliced/repaired. Could you tell me how you found which wire was broken, and where it was broken? I may be having the same problem all over again.. Im also getting a P0340 code, but I will address these two codes one at a time...
