All I gotta say is that although there might be SOME, there's a reason they use the Tacomas rather than Canyon in the desert during the war.

My taco has a 30mm away bar, wtf GM? Don't do your research? Someone need to get Toyota's corporate email in marketing, send that vid link, send threw link from this forum and tell them to make a vid saying why the canyon sucks.

Where's your aftermarket support GMC? Lemme see long travel, s/c, turbo, companies.strictly.dedicated.to gm like urd for toyota. Eff that ad, that pisses me off. Toyota FTMFW

Last year I read an artical in Peterson's Offroad that GM was talking about discontinuing the their midsized trucks, they must not be that good.

Um,does anyone else honestly consider the Ranger a "mid-size" ? 2 guys my size in it are shoulder to shoulder..same as they were when they were considered " compact". I did some homework before i bought my Taco, and every article I read or video I saw said the same thing. The only competition the Tacoma truly has comes from outside it's own class. Nothing in the "mid-size" truck class even comes close.

The Frontier, GMC Canyon, Chevy Colorado and possibly the H3T (which appears to have been discontinued also) could be considered competitors of the Tacoma. Obviously, we all picked the Tacoma over the alternatives but there is some competition left, however feable they may be. The Frontier is probably the Tacomas most noteworth rival, in my opinion.

I cut some wires here. Added some wires there.
I point that out to my wife all the time. No matter what you watch, if there's a bunch of dudes in the bed of a pick up with rocket propelled grenades and AK47s, they're in a Toyota. I don't even think Africa is allowed to sell or import anything other than Toyota. Maybe Landcruiser, but most of Animal Planet is Toyota as well. She gets so mad too, I never miss one. I'll call her over from 3 rooms away and be like "Look, see! Toyota!"

After watching this video, I'm really glad I bought a Tacoma and not a canyon.

They should compare the Hilux to the Canyon... lets see how they fear against indestructible and the first trucks to get to the north and south poles.

    Toyota Trucks Rule!!:D

The only thing the Canyon offers that I would like to see in the Tacoma is the V8.

The V8 is only available in the 2wd model though. No V8 4wd so to me that's not really all that exciting.

I wouldnt own a GM vehicle if you gave it to me, the Canyon especially. No vehicle I own will ever have the OnStar system, I prefer my life and conversations to be private.
